“Nor give place to the devil.”
“The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”
“And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light.”
Demons don’t move without permission.
They don’t just show up at random. They aren’t sovereign. They don’t have free reign.
They gain access through human doors—openings we create through:
Just like the Holy Spirit requires your invitation, demonic spirits require your participation.
And once the door is open, access is granted.
Some of those doors are spiritual:
Some are emotional:
Others are practical:
Things like:
…may look harmless on the surface—but they are not of God.
They are gateways.
They open up portals in the spirit.
And they give demons permission to steal, kill, and destroy.
This isn’t hype.
It’s not superstition.
It’s real.
Let me share a real story that shook me and proved once again that this isn’t just psychology—this is spiritual warfare.
A family reached out to me, deeply concerned about their 17-year-old son.
He had been:
Over time, things got dark:
The family was desperate.
They brought him to our Tuesday night Men’s Prayer.
While we were praying:
His restlessness wasn’t natural—it was spiritual.
I watched for a moment… then I had enough.
I said, “Bring him to the back.”
When we got alone, I looked him in the eyes.
And I didn’t see him.
I saw the spirit inside of him—something dark, intelligent, defiant.
It wasn’t mental illness.
It was a demon—real and present.
I said calmly but firmly:
“You know you’re going to have to leave.”
And the demon answered back through his voice:
“No. I’m not going anywhere.”
But demons don’t get the final say—Jesus does.
I looked that devil in the eye and said:
“Shut up and come out in the name of Jesus!”
The boy screamed.
His body jolted.
And in that moment, the demon came out.
What happened next was a miracle.
His entire countenance changed.
His face went from distorted and dark to bright and peaceful.
What once looked like Beetlejuice now looked like a clean-cut prince.
Let me be clear—God is merciful.
But His mercy doesn’t erase the laws of the spirit.
If you keep playing with demonic portals, eventually you will be overtaken.
And once the enemy gets a foothold, he’ll work to make it a stronghold.
Yes, deliverance is real.
Yes, grace is available.
But don’t push the limits.
Don’t gamble with your soul.
But here’s the good news:
Every door that was opened can be closed in Jesus’ name.
If you’re battling:
Ask the Holy Spirit:
“What door was opened? And how do I shut it?”
Jesus didn’t just come to forgive your sins.
He came to break chains, cast out devils, and close every door that was never meant to be opened.
And through Him,
You don’t just survive—you walk in freedom.
